For imperfections and hypocrisy
[Hands on Deck - Waking Ashland]
A few people go the extra mile, make the additional effort, all in hope that something might just turn out better. Honestly? Reality most often plays its most cruel and harsh tricks on us, twisting the outcome of events. Then again, I don't really think reality is to be blamed for the mess we all face at some point of our lives. Be it yesterday, today, next week/month/year, whenever.
All in all, who's to carry the blame?
Some choose to take it (with pride) and place it on their shoulders. Others push it away with all their might, leaving someone else to deal with it. The one who picks it up and takes the blame deserves a worthy round of applause for courage. Courage for admitting to the mistake. The latter, only gets away, possibly being labelled a coward for doing so.
But how many of us actually have the guts to face up to our mistakes? Given a choice, we would probably think of a million and one ways to brush the problem aside, or at most, take on the role of the coward. and because of this, the one among the crowd who stands up, accepts his wrongdoing instead of blaming others, gets an even louder applaud.
and for now, I don't think I have the courage to do what I've been wanting to do.
